GPA= (Sum of Grade Points – 2) / Number of Subjects

Here,

If you calculate GPA with 4th subject then you have to minus 2 point from total points.

Number of Subjects are compulsory and selective subjects except 4th subject.

See an example below:

Imaging a students Subjects, Grades and Points Below and calculate the GPA.

Subject Code Subject Name Grades Points
101 Bengali A+ 5.00
107 English A+ 5.00
109 Math A+ 4.00
145 Science A 4.00
111 Religion A 4.00
136 Physics A+ 5.00
137 Chemistry A 4.00
138 Biology A 4.00
131 Agricultural Studies (4th Subject) A+ 5.00

Total Point is:( 5.00 + 5.00 + 4.00 + 4.00 + 4.00 + 5.00 + 4.00 + 4.00 + 5.00 ) = 40.00

GPA = (40.00 -2.00)/8

= 38.00/8

= 4.75

Comment: The Current 4.75 on the scale of 5.0 is Good. (4.75 is a Good GPA, but a GPA of 5.0 is maximum and excellent)
